TV Moment of the Day: Carrie the Masochist
It's funny how some people just pull you in and it's an unstoppable force. Some days are just incredible, you're glowing and everyone around you notices your non stop smiles. Then it changes so fast, and the person who gave you such a high can instantly make you sour.

Summer Bucket List Check In
Hello everyone,
I thought I would do a 2014 Summer Bucket List Check In. See what I need to accomplish:
1.) Visit Los Angeles:
2.) Shakespeare in Central Park
I thought I would do a 2014 Summer Bucket List Check In. See what I need to accomplish:
- As much as I love my girl Lacey, I don't think my LA Trip will happen this summer. I will get out there though at some point!
- Accomplished!! I had a wonderful time at the Public Theater yesterday seeing the incredible John Lithgow and Annette Benning in the Shakespeare classic, King Lear.
Crazy people waiting in line for tickets! Shakespeare in the Park is free for all patrons, you just need to wait in line for ticket distribution at the Delacorte Theatre.
Perfect evening for Shakspeare.
- Haven't gone yet, but I think it is only fitting that I go see either Big or The Way we Were with Man Man.
Sex and the City knows how to honor The Way We Were perfectly. Hubble!
4.) Run a 5K
- Soon!! Matthew and I have signed up for the Stone Harbor Sandy Paws 5K on Sunday August 24!! Woo hoo! What a perfect way to celebrate Christina's birthday than run a 5K for her.
5.) Eat and feel more healthy is slowly getting there. Now that my show is over I have my evenings back to run, which I truly missed! Plus my boss and I are participating in this kick ass app called LOSE IT. It is actually working and I have been noticing a change in my face already. Mary Poppins begins rehearsals in October. That is my goal to look great and feel confidant by that first rehearsal.
6.) Christina and I have chosen our Sissy Trip spot! The Westin Seven Mile Beach Resort and Spa in Cayman Islands. We are booking it now and saving up to go in January 2015 :) Feeling jealous, then check out their promo video, hehe.
Well, one down and 4 to go! Psh I got this, it's only July 30 :)

Happy November! It's almost Turkey Lurkey Time.
Wow! It's November people! Time certainly has flown by so fast. I spent the first few days of November in the Big Apple obviously with Mr. Graber. We met my cousin Nick at Barking Dog for Happy Hour, and then we went to Grand Central Station for some grub. I am so excited because I tried my first Magnolia Cupcake! You know, Magnolia Cupcake made famous by Sex and the City.
It's crazy to think of how much my life has changed in a year. This time last year I was in previews for The Music Man which some of the most amazing people I know, and forming my second family. I truly believe everything happens in life for a reason and I am so thankful to be where I am now. My 4 Year Anniversary with Philadelphia is coming up soon! I have to make sure to have a huge celebration.
Xoxo,
Catherine
Trust me, they tasted as amazing as they looked.
Magnolia Bakery, Grand Central Station
Saturday, we took a trip to Ridgewood, NJ to meet my family at our favorite diner Daily Treat. It was nice to get out of the city, and see my family I never get the chance to see. Most importantly it was my Pop's 81st Birthday lunch, and I was so ecstatic that I could surprise him! He had no idea I was coming!
My favorite part of the weekend had to be seeing the Sunday matinee of Matilda. Not only was it special because it was Bryan's first Broadway show above pit level, but I have been waiting to see it for so long! The kids were insanely talented, and made me think of my own special kids from The Music Man.
Oh hey Matilda kids hanging out by the stage door.
Couldn't have asked for a better way to end a lovely weekend.
Xoxo,
Catherine

Bucket List for Fall 2013
I love NYC in the fall. There are so many amazing things to do. I created a little bucket list for myself and the man friend of things I love to do in New York and new adventures I would love to have.
Russian Tea Room - My mom took me here after an audition once for lunch and it was amazing. We did the $40 Business Lunch special which was a steal at the RTR, and unbelievably delicious.
1.) Saturday Night Live - I have always wanted to go see a taping of SNL. Tickets are free and all you have to do is wait in line at 7am the day of the taping. I was thinking October 19 would be a good day to go. However I can't see who the host is yet. You can check daily here to see who is coming next: Fall 2013 Hosts.
2.) Now the one thing I will give NYC is they know how to do chocolate. Philly doesn't have a single chocolate "bar" and New York has three that I have been frequent patron at. My favorites are the following:
- Marie Belle - Located down on Broome Street, this place is adorable and plays movies about France and Chocolate. I love their sipping hot chocolate.
- Charbonnel et Walker - On the 8th Floor of Saks Fifth Avenue, right near the Prada and Jimmy Choo shoes, there is a little chocolate cafe called Charbonnel et Walker. What makes this place so great is you sit down at a conveyor belt and as chocolate treats pass you by you just pick one out and add it to your tab. Also there is a fondue fountain that you can fill your bowl with and ask the bartender for fresh fruit.
- Henri Bendel, 3rd Floor - A little bit up higher on 5th Ave you will find Henri Bendel's Snack Bar. This place is more for special occasions and if you really want to indulge. You can see the menu here.
3.) Light a candle at St. Patrick's Cathedral. I have a few traditions when I go to New York: try to hold my breath going through the tunnel, use the bathroom at the Marriott Marquis, stop by a Duane Reade at least once, but the only I always try to do if I am in the area is to go light a candle at St. Pat's and say a quick prayer.
4.) New York is the inspiration for so many of my favorite movies and TV Shows: Gossip Girl, Sex and the City, You've Got Mail, Big Business, Home Alone 2 plus so many more. I have always wanted to take a fun New York City Movie and TV Bus Tour. How fun would that be?!
5.) Splurge on one good dinner! Thanks to Open Table I have been racking up my points and saving for a gift certificate to use for a nice dinner out. Just to make your mouth water and tease you a bit, here are some of my favorite restaurants in New York.
Remi - Fun fact about this restaurant, Carrie catches Big here on a date with another woman!
Isabella's - Ugh this restaurant is so beautiful and they have this amazing "Chocolate bag" dessert that holds beautiful fresh berries. *Note this photo was taken when I turned 21 so I may have had a Cosmo and a glass of Champagne at this point. #strug
6.) See a performance at the American Ballet Theatre. My favorite dancer is Gillian Muprhy. She makes being en pointe seem so easy and effortless that anyone can do it. I have been dying to go see her dance because I am sure she is breathtaking in performance.
7.) I know it seems very touristy and so cliche, but before it gets cold out I have always wanted to take a River Cruise around the island of New York. I think its something that everyone needs to do at least once. Because after all there is nothing like Autumn in the Big Apple.
Xoxo,
Catherine
